How we handle your information

If you submit a CV or apply for a role

When you apply through our careers page, we collect your name, email, phone number (if provided), and the CV file you upload. Your CV is scanned for malware and its text is extracted so recruiters can search and review it - this is an automated step, not human review of the raw file at that stage. For most CVs, skills and work history are also identified automatically using our own local software, with nothing sent outside our systems. For a smaller number of CVs our software can't confidently read on its own, we send the extracted text to Google's Gemini AI service to help identify that same information - this is limited to CV text, not the original file, and used only for this extraction step.

We use this information to consider you for the role you applied to, and for similar current or future opportunities at DataSynk or with the clients we recruit for. As a staffing company, sharing your profile and CV with a client company is a normal part of matching you to a role - we don't share it more widely than that, and we don't sell candidate data.

Submitting the form is treated as your consent to this processing. Your information is kept for as long as our organization's retention policy allows (reviewed periodically, not indefinitely) or until you ask us to remove it.

If you contact us as a client

Information submitted through the contact form (name, work email, company, and your message) is used only to respond to your inquiry and is visible only to DataSynk's admin and management staff, not to other clients or candidates.

How we protect it

Uploaded files are scanned for malware before they're stored, kept in private storage with no public access, and only reachable through an authorized, logged download - never a direct public link. Access to candidate and client data is limited to authenticated DataSynk staff, scoped to their role.
